The NOCT emulsion belongs to the Kodak Vision3 series of motion picture films, used in films such as Oppenheimer and Interstellar. Its tungsten balance allows the film to accurately render artificial night light – neons, storefronts, street lamps, and the warmth of interiors. In daylight, it takes on a cooler, bluish tint. Not every shot can become a historical film, but every sleeping cat can look cinematic.
